Dear Friends, Colleagues and Clients,
We are all now grappling with an issue of enormous scale and human impact, and our hearts go out to all who have been directly affected by the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19).
At First Look Family Law, we believe it is our responsibility during this time to prioritize the health and well-being of our clients and your legal team while also supporting local health officials and government leaders as they work to contain the virus.
With the input and guidance from the Health Department and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) relating to the coronavirus (COVID-19), we are implementing certain safety measures.
We are equipped and available to do telephone consultations and video conferences via Zoom. Should our physical offices need to close for any reason, you will see little disruption in your legal services.
As this situation has continued to develop, there have been impacts to the judicial system, and most counties in Wisconsin have now implemented emergency measures postponing most face-to-face hearings. We are sorry for the inconvenience this will cause many of you, and we will work with you to de-escalate tensions that arise. Some hearings may still be conducted by phone (like uncontested divorces), but contested hearings may have to wait, and that will be stressful for many of you, we know. Please contact us and we will work with you to address your concerns.
Thank you for continuing to trust your legal team. It is our intent to remain transparent and keep you updated.
We are privileged to represent you.
