Dear Friends, Colleagues and Clients,
As the news and rules keep changing, we continue to face the COVID19 pandemic with genuine concern and compassion for those most directly affected.
At First Look Family Law, we believe it is our continued responsibility during this time to prioritize the health and well-being of our clients and your legal team while also supporting local health officials and government leaders as they work to contain the virus. With the continued input and guidance from Wisconsin’s Health Officials and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) relating to the coronavirus (COVID-19), we continue to employ certain safety measures.
We have always been equipped and available to do telephone consultations and video conferences via Zoom. However, our office is now open again for in-person meetings, and for those clients who wish to schedule in-office we are available to meet with you. All routinely touched surfaced are wiped down regularly, and all staff have facial masks available for their use during your visit. Our conference table is 6 feet long, which facilitates adequate distancing for meetings.
Most counties in Wisconsin are still working under emergency measures which means most face-to-face hearings have been postponed, and the courts are operating mainly via telephone conference or Zoom at this time. We are sorry for the inconvenience this will cause many of you, and we will work with you to de-escalate tensions that arise. Divorces may still be filed, and uncontested divorces may still be heard, by phone, by telephone, and even by Affidavit in certain circumstances. However, most contested hearings may have to wait, and that will be stressful for many of you, we know.
Please contact us and we will work with you to address your concerns.
Thank you for continuing to trust your legal team. It is our intent to remain transparent and keep you updated.
We are privileged to represent you.
